Healing as a Creative Process
Our brains and bodies are designed for change. We are biologically built for times that demand resilience and adaptation. We are made to grow and to create. To heal and transform. But we might not have a roadmap for how to get there. We might feel stuck, confused, overwhelmed, and exhausted when navigating life’s constant demands and uncertainties, the ever-changing seasons and stressors. If this sounds familiar, your nervous system may need a reset. Maria can support you with a healing structure to help you feel more empowered and connected to your creative power.
Maria’s approach to therapy is holistic, trauma-informed, and collaborative. She works with individuals and couples to identify true desires, explore systems that support growth, and create positive change. She believes in the magic of the human spirit, the wisdom of the present moment, and the transformative power of rest and play.
Therapy with Maria will help you to resource your inner capacity for external change. Maria specializes in treating issues with nervous system disorders, sex and intimacy, relational trauma, sleep and dreams, anxiety, pregnancy and postpartum, psychedelic integration, codependence, death, and end of life care.
“Maria helped me connect my body with my mind in a way that I’ve never experienced. Finding a cause for discomfort in the body and giving me visualizations and exercises to help eliminate the discomfort and form new habits… in the future.”
"Maria is calm and insightful… She gave me the support and the skills to overcome a very intimate obstacle and personal issue in the beginning of a new relationship."

She believes the process of healing is cyclical and seasonal. There will be a natural end or destination for some, while for others the process will continue to deepen via root systems that extend throughout all aspects of life and being. Outside of work, Maria enjoys witnessing the shift of seasons, growing and foraging, singing and dancing, skiing and camping, making poetry and pouring potions, building fires and belly laughing. She lives in Lakewood, Colorado with her husband and two beloved dogs.
