Eco, from the Greek oikos, meaning “home” — eco-therapy helps us to feel at home in the family of things. Eco-art psychotherapy is an organic and creative path of finding your way back home in your heart and into acceptance of your wise self. As humans, we are inseparable from earth’s natural systems. We do not exist within nature — we are nature. By reconnecting with our body’s true nature, we can relearn how to loosen our grip on the dual mind (good vs. bad), befriend the unwelcome parts of ourselves, heal past our traumas, savor moments mundane, dance with the ever-changing rhythms of relationship, and find our grounding as we open to the unknown.
Wild Embrace Healing supports adults and couples who are navigating stress, nervous system disorder, anxiety, depression, relational trauma, sexuality and intimacy, pregnancy and postpartum, end-of-life and terminal illness, psychedelic integration, career transition, and spiritual identity. We also offer yoga immersions, teacher training, and consulting services for those who are ready to become love in action.
If you are new here, you are invited to schedule a consultation with Maria to connect.
“Maria helped me connect my body with my mind in a way that I’ve never experienced. Finding a cause for discomfort in the body and giving me visualizations and exercises to help eliminate the discomfort and form new habits… in the future.”
"Maria is calm and insightful… She gave me the support and the skills to overcome a very intimate obstacle and personal issue in the beginning of a new relationship."
Wild Geese by Mary Oliver
You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert repenting.
You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves.
Tell me about despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.
Meanwhile the world goes on.
Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain
are moving across the landscapes,
over the prairies and the deep trees,
the mountains and the rivers.
Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,
are heading home again.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting —
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things.
